Dr Lalwani is thrilled to be in her home state of Colorado, providing retinal care along the front range in Boulder, Longmont and Fort Collins. Her family has deep roots in the area, and she enjoys being connected within the community.

After receiving her dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Japanese from Smith College, Dr. Lalwani attended Hahnemann Medical School at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where she graduated with AOA honors. She completed her residency at Case Western Reserve in Ohio, where she was elected as chief resident by her peers, followed by a surgical retina fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. She was honored to join their faculty, focusing her clinical research on macular degeneration, diabetic retinal disease and surgical diseases of the retina for 4 years before deciding to return to her Colorado roots.

Dr. Lalwani is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmlology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmologists, American Society of Retina Specialists, the Vit-Buckle Society and the prestigious Retina Society. She sees patients in the Boulder, Longmont and Fort Collins offices, and performs surgery at Boulder Community Hospital and Longmont United Hospital. She speaks Spanish fluently.

In her free time, along with her husband, Geeta enjoys trying to keep up with her 3 daughters, running, traveling, cooking and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Lalwani is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Vit-Buckle Society and the prestigious Retina Society. In 2021 Dr. Lalwani was awarded the designation of Fellow by the American Society of Retina Specialists, this new designation recognizes members who demonstrate "expertise in the management of vitreoretinal disorders, and the highest ethical and professional standards." She speaks Spanish fluently and sees patients at all of the Rocky Mountain Retina locations.​

In her free time, Dr. Lalwani enjoys spending time with her husband and trying to keep up with her 3 daughters, as well as running, traveling, cooking and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Danek is a vitreoretinal surgeon, specializing in medical and surgical management of retina diseases as well as complications of cataract surgery. She completed her ophthalmology residency and fellowship training at Cook County Health and Retina Associates in Chicago, IL. Dr. Danek enjoys teaching residents and fellows and is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado/ Denver Health. She is fluent in Spanish and Polish.

Dr. Danek grew up in Chicago. She attended the University of Miami, where she majored in Biology and was a competitive salsa dancer. Dr. Danek worked full-time at the Neuroinflammation and Ocular Epigenetics Laboratory at Bascom Palmer, where she authored many research papers. Next, she completed her medical training at LECOM Bradenton, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. During this time, she participated in medical mission trips to South America and Africa.
Dr. Danek loves living in Colorado. In her free time, she is trail running with her dog, rock climbing, skiing, or playing guitar.
